Vintage Turkish Anatolian Pictorial Rug (Pair: 2 of 2)

A wool pile of symmetric knots on a wool foundation. A visual pair to rug # 33444. The pale gray-beige to taupe field displays two confronting medium-brown deer, tightly arranged and facing one another. Paired green birds flank stylized trees above each animal, while a third polychrome bird-and-tree motif appears between them. A small square motif composed of four radiating petals is positioned below. The narrow brown border features small ivory geometric motifs. Originally woven as a small yastik, or cushion cover.
