An antique Caucasian Karabagh Pictorial rug. This picture rug from 1914 is inscribed both in Russian and Persian scripts and depicts three political figures in an official dress within a three-sided array of rose (and other flowers) bouquets, on a dark brown ground. The red fez hats of two of the figures indicate that they are Ottoman Turkish politicians while the third figure to the right is the last Turkish sultan. Definitely a must-have for Turkish royalists. The Persian calligraphy is not legible.
