Antique Caucasian Kazak Rug

An antique Caucasian Kazak rug. From the southern Caucasus.  The dark blue main border has versions of the Talish volute knots while the narrow diagonal stripes in the field have the block and lazy-S design characteristic of Gendjes. Red, ivory, teal and dark blue, but not the characteristic Gendje yellow, are important detail colors.
