Antique Central Asian Tekke Rug

An antique Central Asian Tekke rug. An unusually light Tekke Turkoman with three columns of six linked and quartered characteristic tribal guls (flowers), on a dark ivory field. The border consists of stars, chevron, and rams’ horn motifs, and the end panels include hooked lozenges, narrow rams’ horn, chevron, and asterisk designs.
