This Kurdish rustic kellegi (long rug) from the environs of Bidjar town in western Persia features a navy ground with reversing rows of formally stylized floriated botehs. The red border narrows at the ends and displays flattened rosettes in a double faceted meander. Light blue minors. All wool construction and very solid, compact characteristic weave. Attractive antique in good condition.
