An antique Persian Kurdish Bidjar rug. All Bidjars are woven by Kurds, but the trade terms those rustic, non-urban Bidjars “Kurd Bidjars” especially when they are generally of small format show and irregular, but charming, patterns. A ruby red field is patterned by a large scale Herati pattern with black and middle blue details. Goldenrod guards flank a black wider band with a popular abstract flower and vine pattern. Like all Bidjars, the construction is solid and the rug is particularly long wearing.
