The extremely well-abrashed light blue-grey field hosts a traditional Mustafi design of spiral acanthus arabesques, floral bouquets, and large oblique acanthus leaves, generally in shades of sienna, but also in ecru. The design looks faintly European, but we have found no exact source for it. Another rug mystery. The narrow main border displays the characteristic Bidjar reversing turtle palmettes. Solidly and compactly woven by city Kurds.
