Antique Persian Bidjar Runner

A wool pile of symmetric knots on a wool foundation.

This stoutly woven kenare (runner) shows the “mirror” pattern manifested in full and partial eccentric pale grey ovals on a tonal ground. Rust, cream, dusty rose, green, and dark brown make up the accents. A few quadrupeds are tossed in for amusement. The brown border is decorated with hanging botehs (paisleys). Almost certainly a Garrus production. Solid and long-lasting.
