An antique Persian Dorokhsh carpet. Palmettes with tulip centers, some within and some lacking square frames decorate the rust brown field of this NE Persian town carpet. The field pattern is quite uncommon, but the dark blue main border returns to the traditional with polychrome palmettes and small flowers. This is a medium finely woven carpet from an underappreciated rug center.
