Antique Persian Khorassan Carpet

An antique Persian Khorassan carpet. A very dense, small-scale allover Herati design is accented in rust, sand, and grey-green on the medium brown ground. The chocolate main border of this professionally executed NE Persian city room size carpet features jagged, well-curved sickle leaves and reversing palmettes. There is no dark blue or wine red as is common on most Khorassan carpets.
