Antique Persian Kurd Runner

Wool pile of symmetric knots on a wool foundation.

The light slate to blue-grey field shows 10-1/2 diamonds with stepped edges in olive green and copious rust secondary tones, all forming a tall pole medallion.  The main diamonds are centered by eight-point stars. En suite half-diamond triangles appear along the field sides. The main pale blue-grey border features rosettes in a meander of slanted and serrated stylized leaves. A particularly broad, rustic runner.
