An antique Persian Tabriz Hagi Jalili rug. From the desirable ‘Hajji Jalili” turn of the 19th century period in Tabriz, this very well rendered ruglet displays a cartouche-shaped old ivory field with rose and stem décor, enclosing a salmon-rose quatrefoil medallion and set within en suite extended corners. The navy main border of this finely woven NW Persian scatter exhibits an acanthus and ivory flower pattern. A whole carpet compressed into a mat without loss or confusion.
