An antique Persian Mahal carpet. The abrashed champagne field of this attractive west Persian village carpet features three columns of open “dog bone” cartouches shaped by split leaf arabesques, with small palmettes and bent, serrated leaves all round. The brown main border features rosettes and outward facing palmettes within a forked vinery.
