An antique Persian Mahal rug. Four cream palmettes center the minutely fringed lozenge medallion with a palmette cruciform focus on the graphite field. More palmettes, including two light rust ones at the end of the field, decorate the slate ground. The brick main border features a partially fringed angular meander with small palmettes.
