Antique Persian Mahal Room Size Carpet

The three offset column field pattern is found on other antique Mahal carpets, but it is not one of the famous named types such as ‘Herati’ or ‘Mina Khani. Here the major motif radiates slender “sticks” making a circular pattern, neither floral nor geometric. Brown field details and brown border with rosettes. Visible wear. Fair condition, best for light use. Rustic, Arak Province weaving.
