Antique Persian Malayer Carpet

An antique Persian Malayer carpet. Row by row, the fat little botehs reverse orientation on the well-covered and well –abrashed field changing from light blue-grey to darker charcoal. The boteh develop from tiny footed dishes. The broad border system of this west Persian town large carpet includes a plain medium blue outer stripe and a red-brown main turtle palmette frame.
