A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. The beige field depicts Layla comforting a fully clothed Majnun, surrounded by birds and wild animals. The three nude figures at the top left are monkeys. The central sand border features swimming fish, while the roughly drawn sand-bone minor borders display detached octagons. It is rare to find Majnun clothed, as his iconography generally requires a semi-naked appearance.
