In the Malayer Mahal style, the slate field of this moderately woven West Persian room size shows a basically five column, fourteen row allover offset pattern of alternating petal palmettes and square rosettes, within an ecru strip-style border of reversing palmettes and a wiry, bent tendril. Cotton foundation, medium weave. A bit different for a room-size Malayer in design.
