The mostly striated abrashed brown field shows a three-column allover Herati design with the central diamond, instead of being open as are the others, is filled in with ecru. A nice touch. Even in the seemingly most formal Persian designs, there is always room for innovative whimsy. Ecru border with rosettes, stepped and slanted leaves, and paired triangles. Medium weave, west Persian village work, on cotton foundation. Good condition.
