Antique Persian Sultanabad Carpet

An antique Persian Sultanabad carpet. Three giant palmettes, all different, run up the center of this antique west Persian village carpet and are accompanied by large, jagged saz leaves and assorted smaller palmettes, rosettes, and leaves, all on the beige tone ground. Various brown tones, from dark to taupe, along with rust, accent the details of this moderately coarse, but very decorative, carpet.
