Antique Persian Tabriz Carpet

An antique Persian Tabriz carpet. Cloud bands, palmettes and lots of them. This well-woven urban carpet takes its design ultimately from Persian 16^th century sources. The close, but evenly distributed, an array of decorative elements has a textile look about it. The brownfield makes the individual motives apparent, but there is a unity to the whole.
