Antique Persian Tabriz Carpet

An antique Persian Tabriz carpet. Four large ivory botehs, four corner palmettes and smaller dark brown central volute palmettes are among the unusual decorations on the buff field. A broad rust reciprocal crenellation tendril divides the main border. Triples of charcoal rosettes appear in the main border and charcoal slanted leaves ornament the outer border.
