Antique Persian Tabriz Carpet

An antique Persian Tabriz carpet. The abrashed medium brown ground displays five columns of various styles of rosettes, some merely round, others with “finger” petal extenders and still others with combined formats. The field is well covered although the pattern is not quite balanced vertically. The pale grey main border is dominated by springy vines connecting outline turtle palmettes.
