An antique Persian Tabriz Hagi Jalili rug. The classic copper red of the ‘Hajji Jalili’ period is manifested in the lightly abrashed field with its navy central medallion enclosing radiating palmettes. Flower sprays and pendants devolve from the medallion’s points. The old ivory corner pieces are extended vertically and feature maple leaves. An authentic ruglet from the best period of antique Tabriz weaving.
