An antique Persian Tabriz Hagi Jalili rug. An open, copper red madder subfield displays a pendant straw lozenge medallion with an offset half drop small daisy pattern. The encompassing field is also in the same pattern and palette. The ivory border displays swooping acanthus leaves joining two sizes of rosettes. This is a rare ruglet of the coveted ‘Hajji Jalili’ period of Tabriz weaving.
