An antique Persian Tabriz Hagi Jalili rug. A quadrilobe nested medallion is set on a golden beige open field edged by tiny leaves. The corners are en suite both in shape and décor with the central motif. The matching border displays discrete palmettes. This is a good example of the desirable rugs from the ‘Hajjii Jalili’ period in Tabriz in the late 19th century.
