An antique Turkish Oushak oversize carpet handmade during the early 20th century. This is an amalgam of Turkish carpet ideas. The corners are adapted from medallion 17th-century Oushaks, the border from village Bergamas, and the little trefoils flowers at the field edges from Ghiordes prayer rugs. Plus a few other sources. The effulgent red, which has now softened beautifully over time, is the classic Turkish red.
