A wool pile with symmetric knots on a wool foundation. The rust field displays an enlarged rendition of the classic Persian/Caucasian Harshang design, featuring a large central open diamond adorned with small leaves, ragged oval palmettes, and tilted ogives with four sprouting 'goosenecks.' The straw-gold border is decorated with blossoms and palmettes. While classic Persian patterns were particularly popular in Oushak, this small, square format is notably rare.
