This west Anatolian coarse weave town carpet features an abrashed pale grey field with a three-column intermittent pattern of ragged palmettes, partial batons and other abstract forms reminiscent of the Harshang design, but with more uniqueness and individuality. Some small elements have a vaguely extraterrestrial alien look, but they are actually vegetal in spirit. Eggshell main border with stencil flowers and boteh leaves, on a wiry meander. As new condition.
