A wool pile of symmetric knots on a wool foundation. This early-20th-century, room-size town piece features a pale powder-blue to blue-grey field scattered with small squares, rosettes, crosses, and abstract floral devices in ivory, ecru, camel, golden ochre, muted orange-rust, tan, and soft brown. An open, elongated central lozenge, detailed in rust and ochre, is surrounded by lighter ecru elements. The discontinuous pale blue-grey main border displays lobed and ragged rosettes with slender, slanting leaves.
