A Wool pile with asymmetric knots on a cotton foundation. The well-abrashed slate field features an unusual allover pattern of rosettes in various styles, interspersed with short herringboned or floretted stiff stems. The abrashed main border showcases modules of single roses and straight stems. The slate field peeks out at one end, over a wide panel of abrash. The double square format, typical of antique Khotan weavings, is present here in the traditional k’ang style.
