Antique Persian Mahal Oversize Carpet

The slate ground presents five alternating columns of floral octagrams and equally blossoming 12 posy radiating arrays. The whole look is light flowers coming from everywhere. Wire thin lines define the columns. The flowers all have ecru petals and there are no significant palmettes or rosettes. The rust border shows various fan-shaped and related blossoms along with full blooming plants and acanthus leaves. Medium-coarse weave, cotton foundation. Perfect for a very large garden room.
