An antique Persian Bakhtiari rug. The allover tile pattern features panels with looped edgings and internal cypresses. Full flowers and abstract vegetal motives, all in dark brown, straw, ivory and pale grey-green. The broad grey-green border shows palmettes and slanted leaves on this Chahar Mahal west central Persian village scatter.
