A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. From Jozan, as indicated by the navy border with a looping, barbed arabesque. The sandy field depicts a standing ancient Persian king with a winged crown, royal sash, and curving sword. An inscription across the chest identifies the figure as Shahpur. Pink rectangles with fractional rounded patterns flank the figure, and four stepped quarter roundels, each filled with flowers, occupy the field corners. The town of Jozan produces small scatters, and no room-size pieces are woven there.
