An antique Persian Fereghan rug. A red field is centered by a vase and emerging flowers and tall, blue cypress trees are set on either side. The spandrels and a central upper lozenge are vertically striped in red and ivory. Navy fan palmette main border. The rug is woven short-warped with medium-fine asymmetric knots. It makes a good wall piece or a conversation cushion.
