A wool pile of asymmetric knots on a cotton foundation. This room-size piece features an abrashed plain field accented by irregular, gently curving lines forming a loosely drawn, centrally symmetric design. The outer border displays banded triangles, while the inner border features a schematic clouds-and-rain (Yun-tsao Tou) motif. It can easily serve as a true open-field rug.
