Modern East Turkestan Silk Khotan Room Size Carpet

Silk pile of asymmetric knots on a cotton foundation. The ecru field features four fully abstract bare trees, with large and small clusters of colorful squares arranged symmetrically. Accent tones include dark brown and pale blue. The ecru main border displays springs alternating with open, sketch-like cartouches. Modern Khotans with silk pile are exceptionally rare. The pile is lightly pre-worn.
