A modern silk wall hanging rug after Wassily Kandinsky's Capricious, circa 1930. Green rays, a black boat or space ship, a distant sketchy townscape? Maybe anthropomorphic and zoomorphic motives on the golden tan ground signed ‘Kandinsky’. Kandinsky's motives may have been to create an abstract and ambiguous creation for the viewer to envision his or her own story. The fine weave allows for close painting reproduction. The accurate transfer of artistic content from one medium to another is a relatively recent Turkish rug innovation.  At the top are hanging loops for the proper display of this doubly modern creation.
