This attractive Interwar northern Chinese carpet shows a blue-and-white color scheme manifested in a close diamond lattice enclosing stars and in the closely scalloped round central medallion with a fret and paeony pattern. Matching triangular eggshell corners with fretwork and paeonies. Ningxia-style main border with leaves and tilted flowers. T fret inner border. Even, moderate weave on cotton foundation.
