A wool pile of asymmetric knots on a cotton foundation. This city piece closely copies a Northwestern Anatolian antique rug, featuring a red field with partially barbed leaves and a variety of medallions, along with botehs, double arrows, and upright ashiks. The narrow, near-black main border supports a continuous chain of small, bug-like medallions. This rug was likely copied from a rug book illustration from the Interwar period.
