A vintage Indian Lahore carpet. Five rows of Spanish style ‘wheel’ wreath octagons are separated by outline style Turkmen minor guls on an old ivory/beige field with only the thinnest of framing borders. The effect is of a large textile rather than a floor carpet, but the weave is very solid and the knotting quite uniform.
