A vintage Persian Afshar rug. The brown outlines on this subdued SE Persian tribal scatter drift in and out of prominence, all the while delimiting a large cream diamond central motif eight stylized flowers, and smaller panels and reserves with geometric or abstracted floral decoration. Buff and tan tones predominate. There is a double border in herringbone patterns.
