A vintage Persian Dorokhsh rug. All Herati, all the time, from navy notched corners to the cream cartouche-shaped subfield to the stepped salmon medallion too, finally, the sky blue hexagonal sub-medallion with an internal fringe. This NE Persian (Khorassan) small-town ruglet shows a strongly abrashed blue border of wonky palmettes. The Herati patterns are all on the same scale.
