Vintage Persian Gabbeh Pictorial Rug

A vintage Persian Gabbeh pictorial tribal rug from the mid-20th century. A bright red cross-eyed lion with a mustache looks directly at the viewer, with small eight-pointed stars grouped in fours scattered about, all on a light greyish brown field.  The red border shows a vine and fan-leaf design. We love lion rugs and have the largest collection anywhere outside of Iran.
