A vintage Persian Gabbeh rug. This Qashghai nomadic long rug pares the design down to the minimum. The off white field has a pole medallion of five connected natural dark brown hexagon lozenges as its only decoration and the equally austere borders center on a camel tone main stripe with a herringbone pattern. The colors are all natural sheep hues and are not dyed. The weave is moderately coarse and the pile is fairly long.
