Vintage Persian Gabbeh Rug

A vintage Persian Gabbeh rug. This is really a color sampler in five columns of rectangles masquerading as a Gabbeh scatter. Each panel has a small chessboard design with chrome yellow, light blue, medium blue, dark blue, red, pale green, salmon and black among the detail tones. The narrow ecru zig-zag border is really only a design afterthought on this south Persian tribal Qashqai rug.
