A wool pile of symmetric knots on a wool foundation. Despite significant end losses, the dark brown to near-black field displays two streaked, affronted lions with fringed manes. The left lion is rendered in ivory and cream with rust-brown details, while the right is tawny to rust-brown with gray-blue accents; both are enlivened by bright pink and coral. They stand on a broad slate-blue band, perhaps representing water. The abrashed pale blue-gray and ecru border features paired triangular hourglass motifs alternating with diagonal bars in rust-brown and ivory. Originally woven as a yastik, or cushion cover.
