Vintage Persian Kerman Pictorial Rug

A vintage Perisan Kerman Pictorial rug. In two important registers: the upper with an interior scene of couples dancing before a Shah and his courtiers; and a lower, also interior, scene of dancers performing for a different ruler. Three rural scenes, one of a camel caravan and another of a herdsman separate and edge the court festivities.  Inscriptions identify the important figures. The main border is in a light blue and red flower filled reciprocal merlon pattern on this well-woven urban pictorial.
