Wool warp-faced weave and quilted cotton fabric. Lahafs are primarily used as warm coverlets, and this example features a central area of colorful wool bands stitched into a square, bordered and backed with plain cotton fabric. The central panel is generally attributed to the Turkic Shan Savan tribes of northern Azerbaijan, and the piece was likely made by them as well.
