A wool pile of asymmetric knots on a cotton foundation. The beige ground presents a turbaned, near-black face at the left and an ecru figure in a spotted garment with tumbling light blue headgear, gesturing at the right. Flowers and a perching bird appear between the figures in a generally abstract rendering. A narrow sky-blue border with chains of reels at the sides and a bitonal triangle zigzag border at the top frames the composition.
